I am a South Central Los Angeles–raised multidisciplinary artist, designer, researcher, and educator interested in how communities create knowledge, culture, and infrastructure through everyday acts of adaptation and world-building, particularly within working-class and migrant communities.
Growing up in a family of street vendors, I watched my family and community transform sidewalks all over Los Angeles into gathering places, folding tables into restaurants, and limited resources into opportunities for entire families. These experiences shaped my understanding of creativity and art as something that extends far beyond traditional institutions and emerges through the built environment, informal economies, and support networks that sustain everyday life.
Drawing from public art, media, film, archives, and urban studies, my work explores questions of visibility, memory, labor, and authorship. I am particularly interested in the people and systems that shape our cities and cultural landscapes, especially those whose contributions often go unrecognized despite sustaining everyday life.
Through murals, workshops, film, research, and media-based projects, I create work grounded in community knowledge that encourages curiosity and expands conversations about who is recognized as a creator of the future.
I studied Urban Studies and Sustainable Design at UC Berkeley, where I deepened my interest in the relationships between place, culture, and the built environment. And was recently selected for the 2026 Teaching Artist Training Series at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA).
Recent projects include the restoration of Sandra Drinning's Los Angeles: The Living City mural for the Petersen Automotive Museum through the Social and Public Art Resource Center (SPARC); The Seeds We Sow, a permanent Chicanx mural installation in UC Berkeley's College of Environmental Design; Claymation, Filmmaking, and Storytelling Workshops presented through the Bay Area Children's Film Festival; and production design for Love is Always Losing short film, recipient of the Best Production Design Award at the LGBTQ+ Toronto Film Festival and Best Indie Short at the Los Angeles International Film Festival.
