Conejito Azul

Conejito Azul depicts Liam Conejo Ramos as a tiny blue figure within a field of white rabbits and translucent ice. Created in response to his separation and detention in Minnesota during winter, the work considers the vulnerability of a child placed within circumstances overwhelmingly larger and colder than himself.

The repeated ice carries both a physical and institutional meaning. White rabbits populate the image alongside Liam, extending a sense of vulnerability and exposure across an otherwise surreal landscape.
