The Seeds We Sow

The Seeds We Sow is a permanent mural installation located in UC Berkeley's College of Environmental Design. Commissioned by UC Berkeley's Division of Equity and Inclusion through the Chicanx/Latinx Architecture Student Association (CASA), the project sought to create a more inclusive and empowering environment while honoring the cultural histories and contributions of Chicanx and Latinx communities.

Designed and painted from concept to completion, the mural explores themes of placemaking, cultural memory, and collective resilience. Through imagery rooted in community histories and lived experiences, the work creates a visible presence for narratives that have historically been absent from the built environment and design education.
